What do you do after disassembling the bike and reassembling it in a day with borrowed tools in a borrowed garage with no prior knowledge of the mystery motorcycle in question. Shake down. A simple trip up to Payson for some pancakes and coffe at the Knotty Pine cafe of course. A straight shot up the Bee line in the morning after my first shift of 12 hours seemed like a great idea. I picked up susan and woke her minutes before we were blasting up the semi warm road. A great little blast with only one hang up. a loose bolt spacer had the audacity to fall into my brand new belt and wear a nice little niche into the flats before I could stop and walk it out backwards. No issue's as the drive side of the drive belt faces the other way. After a nice breakfast we got lost on the back roads making random turns to get to Zane Greys cabin, accidentally driving straight to it. They have an awesome tour and one of the greatest collections of misc. items unavailable to the average man. I suggest this trip to anyone....who stays the night in the cool climate of Payson. Our blast back was an epic journey of sweltering heat and high speeds that saw me pulling over to take a break, the combination of sun screen in my eyes, no sunglasses, sweat and fatigue. Enjoy the pics, it was a fantastic trip culminating in a naked coma undernieth the cieling fan.
