So I found this incredible deal on craigslist. a 82 suzuki gs 750 for two hundred bucks. I convinced susan it would be a great idea. I have been toying with it ever since. I have rewired the bike the charging system is shot, I rebuilt the forks, but the guides need to be replaced. I changed the air filters to pods and rebuilt the carbs, but now the jetting is way off. I installed new tires, but ordered the wrong size for the back, so it has a dinky little 110/18. The chain is rusted and original, oh and I had to do the top end twice, because I made a mistake. lowered 2 inches in the front and rear the bike stands at attention all the time on the stand and the center stand is for anyone who can lift the whole weight of the bike, but it runs and I'm starting to get attatched to the little gs. I took my first ride on it with rags over the carbs, a car battery in my lap and the rear wheel moving about an inch at the chain tensioner. It reminds me of kareokee, fun, but I know why I'm not a professional. The bike still needs a few hundred more bucks, but the 5x the purchase price has been hit so it will sit. I have a few more important things to work on, but when the bucks are up, you can bet this little pony will see some light.
